Heat treatments are the methods that have been used for centuries. Baths, heat tents and similar euphemists of Indians are the treatments used in traditional medicine. Today, we hear the name of hyperthermia too much. Now his name is frequently mentioned in scientific articles. Hyperthermia, which is also used intensively in cancer patients, has also gained a place in the modern medical literature as a form of treatment in which has achieved serious success.
In history, there are many documents to reveal the utilization of increasing the body temperature for the treatment of various diseases. Parmenides, one of the natural philosophers, said, "Give me the opportunity to increase the temperature of the body and I will cure all diseases." For this reason, doctors dealing with hyperthermia are sometimes called Permenian doctors.
For thousands of years, mankind has thought that some diseases can be cured by increasing body temperature. It is known that our immune system is better stimulated by the increase in heat. When body temperature increases, your lymphocytes, neutrophils; in other words, your immune system's ability to fight and move increases much more.
The structures of cancer cells are different from normal cells. The first time was in the late 1800s, when Mr. Coley had an interesting gig while he was the Chief Physician of New York Cancer Hospital. He found that in cancer patients with infections, the size of the tumor had declined and they lived longer. And so he noticed this in Erizipelli (disease) patients and used the link between fever, infection and cancer. He then made a special solution of these infected materials obtained from the patients. As a result, he had a fever due to the toxin injection; thus, it has increased the body's ability to fight and has achieved much more successful results in patients who have had this application. One of these patients is Zola. Zola recovered completely with this treatment. The person who enabled her to be successfully treated with this study was Mr. It's Coley. Since then, the relationship between fever and cancer has always attracted attention.
After the development of chemotherapies in the 1960s, a problem was observed in the delivery of chemotherapies to cancer cells. This disruption in the use of chemotherapy agents has revealed structural differences in cancer cells. At this point, let's answer 3 important questions together:

Our normal cells can use sugar, fat and certain proteins as nutrients. These go into the cell. While fats and proteins can be burned directly in mitochondria, our energy factory, sugar is a 6-carbon compound. The treatment process is a multi-disciplinary journey that requires reorganizing the life of a cancer patient, and for this reason, the right planning for the issues that will affect the behavior and psychology of the patient should be made specific to the patient from the very beginning.
Vitamin C and hyperthermia are used together with it to increase the effect of chemotherapy and to achieve an effective treatment and a better quality of life. Vitamin C and hyperthermia alone are not recommended in the treatment of cancer.
Local hyperthermia is given immediately after radiotherapy treatment in lung patients and cervical diseases. In this way, the effect of radiotherapy and the effect of chemotherapy increases about 2-5 times; hyperthermia opens the way to a more successful treatment. Hyperthermia, which is applied by a specialists with serious knowledge, has almost no side effects, as long as the most appropriate treatment is determined by performing personal analyses and examinations related to the patient.
How Many Types of Hyperthermia Applications Are There?

Local Hyperthermia is especially effective with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Local Hyperthermia is applied with radiotherapy in tumors such as lungs and cervix. Local hyperthermia is recommended first, followed by radiotherapy, in other tissues except the brain. Timings of chemotherapy agents may vary depending on the agent. Hyperthermia Use in Healthy People
Local hyperthermia does not apply to healthy people. But an important part of physical therapy is heat therapy. 4. Moderate Hyperthermia: It is aimed to increase the body temperature to 38.5 degrees.
Number 4 hyperthermia variant is not for oncological purposes; are heat increasing methods used in other subjects. Thermal therapy and extreme hyperthermia require intensive care conditions and a very serious experience. However, there is no need for intensive care conditions in fever-like hyperthermia and moderately mild hyperthermia applications called "fever range". Extreme hyperthermia and thermal therapy are not applied in Turkey. Applied in Turkey, called fire-like; In other words, they are the methods that aim to increase the body temperature up to 40 degrees and 40.5 degrees. Usually, 39.5 degrees is sufficient.
